Mystery Behind Devi Reddy Death | Justice For Devi

On the early hours of 30th April,a 21-year-old BTech student,Devi Reddy was killed in a road accident near Journalist Colony in Jubilee Hills. She was in the car with her friend Bharath Simha Reddy,23, a degree final year student who was injured.

On Sunday evening, Devi had gone for a party with her friends at Beats Per Minute (BPM) pub in the Nanakramguda area of Hyderabad.

She informed her father, Niranjan Reddy, a real estate businessman that her friends are dropping her home.

At 3:15 , she informed him that she was at whisper valley.

At 3.24 she told her father that she would be home in 2 minutes.

That was Devi‘s last call. Her father called her about 40 times, but there was no answer.

Around 4.30 am a constable answered the call to inform that his daughter had been in a car crash and was rushed to Apollo Hospital, where they declared she was spot dead.

The police claim the incident to be an accident caused due to driving under influence of alcohol. Devi’s family alleges that Bharat is responsible for their daughter’s death and that the accident may just be a cover-up.

The family  says that they suspect she was murdered because some things seemed out of place. She says that their house in Jubilee Hills was barely a few minutes away from the hospital but when they reached there, Bharath’s family members ,who live in Madhapur which is much further away , were already present. Moreover, they were surprised because Bharath had very minor injuries. There were no injuries on Devi’s body except for a nose bleed.

A security guard nearby who witnessed the accident says that he saw Bharath drag a screaming Devi inside the car and that someone was helping him

Devi’s close friends and family strongly believe that some foul play may be involved.

On Wednesday, Devi’s family and friends conducted a candle-light vigil for her at the site of the accident. On Thursday afternoon, the police visited the site and attempted to re-create the accident. A case has been registered under section 304 A of the IPC (causing death by negligence).

Devi’s family says they want justice for her and that their questions must be answered.

RIP Devi .

We hope you get the justice soon and the criminals involved in this are punished.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to your family.

Why parents are allowing their kidsfor going to pubs, and worst thing is the girl parents allowed her to roam whole night upto 3.30 am in the morning. Ithink the girl parents are responsible for this.

seriosuly..!! how can u talk like that?? if a boy is free to roam upto 330am why cant a girl roam?? see we need to change our ideas n we need to try to protect them we need to try to provide them the utmost safety..we cannot complain that its their parents fault in sending her out at that time…i am not telling its that guy’s fault as it is not yet proved we cannot say anything
P.S- Please dont post these kind of comments cuz when their family members or friends see these sort of comments they will feel bad

Are you out of your mind? This is 2016, I think you should come out from under the rock that you are living. Her parents are not liable for the murder, the others in the car are the real culprits. With this kind of mentality-you don’t need to be living in an urbane society. Please go back to rural villages of Haryana 🙂

      Mr. Raksha
Honestly please do not post such comments . It is disgusting to read such comments . Please get out of the delusional world you’re living in because we are living in a century when women have equal rights as men . Please do not tell a woman what time is safe and what time is not safe. Infact I would suggest working toward making anytime safe for women to move out . If possible protect a woman but do not blame them .

Raksha, show some mercy. Because of people like you only India isn’t developing. Where is it written that you should roam in the night? Imagine something like thing would have happened to you or one of your family member.
    Shame on you.

Raksha.. Seriously.. So girl has no right to go out and party is it.. And just because they go out, it doesn’t mean that boys can just kill them.. U are sounding very similar to the lawyer in nirbhaya’ case.. Our society will be changed only when people with your mind set will be extinct for god’s sake.. I pity you Raksha!!

    RIP Devi!!

Every girl has a right to rome in the night. Going pub is not a mistake or crime. Guy can be on rodas latenight and girl cant, its not fair. Devi and her parents should get justice. And on criminals severe action should be taken . RIP Devi

Raksha , instead of blaming parents for sending their children in the night . It would be more sensible if you would have objected the act of boy and his parents . Because of people like you who blame the victims more crimes on women happen.

People are fighting fighting for equity everyday and comments like yours are the one’s which are stupid and have no meaning… Women and men are interdependent … Both need noth to survive… Hence.. Both have the same value! If a girl shouldnt be allowed to go “outside” thena guy shud also not go! The whole world shu be closed after 10 pm! It is mentalities like yours that are ruining the world! *****

Firstly I’m very sad for the girl..RIP
I guess everyone has fucking right to roam at night ,but only if they can take care of themselves, being practical ,whoevertalks about rights won’t b able to help the victim at the point of need (probably busy with sweet dreams) ..then get lost don’t talk any nonsense here..yes I agree we are lacking moral and ethical values first try to build them in society ..and aboveall no one can patrol (even police )every corner of this country.. Soo PS if you can’t protect yourself don’t go and roam at odd hours (only that % of help u get that point of time is really low)..its nt for any gender…its about tour mental ability to choose ppl whom you trust.. Its about the pain of victim and his/her beloved ones..and v are not media to comment..v are youth v should change fucking minds to get healthy envi all around..

RIP in DEVI , Everything depends upon the human mentality in how they receive things, why is it wrong to go out at that time ? , let the police investigate the case and wait for the real culprits. Hope the law will just not leave them at-least after so many incidents noticed so far. I really appreciate all the guys who have stated they views in respect to women and indeed women themselves are responding with stupid thought. Hope god change them soon and they awkward mind.

I’m very sorry of the lose.My sincere condolence to her parents.
It is disgusting to see some comments on the lady who is posting her view here.If you are a friend of some one you must advice him/her that drink and drive is danger in any time.Either it is 2016 or 1990. And for you information India is not developing because of her view.It is your perception of watching things. What are you contributing to socity to develop india.Question yourself first. Is it required to partying so much till the morning.. If it is then you need to stay there it self, don’t drive to home.It is headache for parents too. They need to awake for your safty. If parents are giving freedom then use it productively .

  24. rahul | May 8, 2016 at 11:40 am | Reply

if a person wants to be out at midnight , they should protect them self, if u are asking for safety ! the main logic is its not safe for a woman to roam at that time, even though its 2016,we have to face the fact that its not safe at time , even the parents have their mistake .

  25. subhash chadndra | May 8, 2016 at 12:17 pm | Reply

    @ RAKSHA

    u blame their parents right…??
see this is india…a woman has got full freedom to rome at nights..there is nowhere in the Indian constitution written that a woman shouldn’t rome at nights…u r such a mooron and don’t have rights to blame her parents…
women have many reasons to move out at night…. party’s are not only the reason…
suppose think of a situation where your going out at night because some of your friend have been hospitalised due to some reason…. so on your way to the hospital, few guys try to kill u but some how luckily u have been saved… so when some one asks u abt it,do u blame ur parents ? or those guys.?
this is 2016.. a modern world where u’ve to think wise nd live wise…
u’ve been named as RAKSHA … but instead u should be named as RAKSHAS..
because of people like u … the rapists are able to raise their voices in the society …
from next time don’t don’t ever blame a woman’s parents for these kinda bull shit and disguisting incidents… if not people like u would be the only reason for why INDIA is still a developing country…

and the comments turn to a battle of gender equality. Boy or girl u get drunk u face the consequences and this includes the parents.

  28. rahul | May 8, 2016 at 6:31 pm | Reply

come on its not a murder or a rape , its an accident, the police has confirmed , and stop being a sexist .

  29. Vanishka | May 9, 2016 at 1:18 am | Reply

    I agree with Raksha
What if it’s 2016 or 2216. Shut your bloody assholes all girls and boys when you are blaming Raksha. It’s all because of your king of human beings innocent girls die. Let it be nirbhaya or Devi.
If you want to dress like shit and drink like shit and get fucked up like go to America or Dubai.
Again if you want INDIA to be developed, this is not the only way you call India developed where girl can go half nude and return in the morning and you call it developed country.
Developed country like America has full security and officials are not bribed like India. Please don’t drag this into point to call India developed.
When parents send their kids and they get raped it’s not India’s mistake. Who am I arguing with
Stupid big assholes who can never understand India morals.
If you think Raksha is wrong then go and get raped and die somewhere
You might be okay with when you are okay imagine your mom getting fucked by others then you say India should be developed and only who are open minded to all these are broad minded or else they are narrow minded.
Shut your bloody mouths before pointing Raksha.
Go party and come home safely. Don’t spect this safety from every body. Again because India is India. Not America.
Change cannot happen all of sudden and expectin America from India is like thinking of your mom getting fucked by others. Think this way. All big shot girls who are habituated for party’s pubs and say it’s girls right, parents are no where responsible think of this. Parents should grow children in good way.

It s an issue of negligence and unethical act of two well educated, insensible, immature d people who didn’t bother about themselves and their parentage. after so many clear suggestion of not to drunk drive . people still behave with such insensitivity. For such nonsense you people drag the respect of Indian culture, and you talk gender discrimination. whether it is a man or woman who claim enjoyment is more important than life. For simple party a young beautiful lady lost her hundred years of beautiful life. I suppose who ever are posting please small and kind request use some kind sensible language, do nt encourage filthy language , especially the one who are talking about women rights. You are using such words for women herself. please respect women hood not to degolmurise.

First of all I am really sorry for the pathetic event that happened. If we really think actual loss to Devi’s parents and also think about how much pain devi undergone before succumbing. First of all I would like to tell everyone irrespective of gender that one should be well aware of their limits.I strongly discourge this pub culture. Answer my question.
Only boozing dansing till midnight then driving where alcohol commands and then inost of the cases death prevails or wins. First of all death comes under these situations can be of two factors. One could be criminal thought and the other one none other than alcohol.
I hate those parents who encourge their kids going to bloody pubs. How can they think of their kids bathing in alcohol.
I pray God to change the thought process of those Who support this pub culture and parties till midnight.
Please discourage Pub culture and parties till midnight and alcohol in the parties.

I have really learned some new things through your blog post. One more thing to I have observed is that in many instances, FSBO sellers can reject people. Remember, they might prefer to not ever use your companies. But if an individual maintain a gentle, professional romance, offering assistance and remaining in contact for four to five weeks, you will usually be able to win an interview. From there, a house listing follows. Cheers
