GATEFORUM Students Shine in GATE 2016

The results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE’16) have been announced. Mohit Goel, CEO – GATEFORUM, said that the students of GATEFORUM have performed exceedingly well in the test. From the results obtained so far, GATEFORUM students – Ronika Goswami secured the coveted All India Rank 1 in Chemical Engineering, Debangshu Chatterjee secured All India Rank 2 and Pooja Kulkarni secured All India Rank 3 in the Computer Science Engineering stream. In all, 11 students of GATEFORUM secured ranks in the Top 10 and more than 70 students secured ranks in the Top 100 this year. Also, five of these toppers from GATEFORUM have scored a perfect 1000/1000 in GATE 2016.

GATEFORUM has announced financial scholarships for its toppers in which it will reimburse first year fees for its students who have secured a rank in Top 100 and joining IISc or any IIT for their M.Tech.

Apart from admission to postgraduate programs in IISC, IIT’s, NIT’s and other engineering colleges in India, GATE score is used by many Public Sector Undertakings for the recruitment of graduate engineers. GATE 2016 exam was conducted from 30th January, 2016 to 7th February, 2016. A total of 9,71,831 candidates had registered for GATE 2016 while 8,18,850 students appeared for the test, of whom 6,81,441 are male and 2,90,347 are female candidates. In all, about 15% to 16% of the candidates who appeared have qualified in the exam. The stream-wise cut-off scores for GATE 2016 are as follows:

All qualified students will need to apply to their chosen institute and department. Mr. Mohit Goel has also informed that GATE FORUM will be conducting free live sessions on the Post-GATE Admission process on 26th and 27th March for the benefit of all the qualified students. Students can register for free and access the live session on the Internet.
